Challenge
Book publishing is becoming increasingly international, but quality translation remains expensive, time-consuming, and often inaccessible to independent authors and small publishers. Traditional translation services are not scalable, rely on manual labor, and are not suitable for quick market entry.
The task was to create a platform that would allow:
• Upload books in various formats,
• Translate them into multiple languages with context-aware quality,
• Preview the result by sections,
• And receive ready-to-publish material with minimal manual involvement.
Solution
We developed a full-cycle translation platform powered by artificial intelligence. Users can upload a manuscript (PDF, ePub, Docx), choose the translation language and style (formal, friendly, poetic), and receive a high-quality translation by chapters.
Translation can be customized using glossary management, as well as reviewed and corrected interactively before exporting. The real-time user interface built with Livewire makes the process simple and understandable.
The platform is scalable, allowing for parallel processing of multiple translation tasks, as well as ensuring document security and control.
The Book Translator app is currently available in open beta and is already being used for translations in more than 20 languages.
